Agriculture is a life science and must be presented with good and natural illustrations. The language has been simplified to enable readers grasp the concepts discussed. Topics are arranged to ensure continuity and flow of sub-themes to ease interest development in the subject. Each chapter ends with summary to remind the reader of points stated earlier. The purpose of this book is to provide a standard textbook for Agricultural Science, reflecting the new curriculum for Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and for Senior Secondary Schools II by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC). Activities involving students are included at the end of each chapter to give students adequate field experience and to test how far the students have grasped the subject matter. With this book, students would acquire functional scientific skills and the necessary knowledge to excel in both internal and external examinations.
