Types of Graphic Packages
There are two main types of graphics package, they are:
- Painting packages
- Drawing packages
- Painting packages: Painting packages are used by individuals for amusement or by small business to create forms, logos and letterhead. They produce images by changing the colour of pixels on the screen. They are coded as a pattern of bits to create a bitmapped graphics file. Bitmapped graphics are used for images such as scanned photographs or pictures taken with a digital camera. Painting packages also contain some basic shapes that can be inserted into your design or use to create more designs. Examples are Ms-Paint and Adobe Photoshop.
