SUMMARY OF GEOMETRIC CONSTRUCTION (TRIANGLES AND POLYGONS)
A triangle is a three-sided polygon, which has three vertices. It is a plane figure bounded by three straight lines.
The six types of triangles are acute triangle, right-angled triangle, obtuse triangle; equilateral triangle, isosceles triangle and scalene triangle.
Construction of inscribed and circumscribed circles to given triangles were treated in this chapter.
A polygon is defined as a plane figure bounded by more than four sides. They include pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon and decagon.
The two types of polygons – regular and irregular polygon were also treated in this chapter. This chapter ended with the geometric construction of (how to construct) the different polygons.
