SUMMARY OF RESCUE OPERATIONS
Rescue operations can be described as any effort put in place, which acts as a remedy for a bad situation either to save life or properties or both as the case may be.
Rescue workers are rescue agencies set up by the government to respond to distress calls in the event of an emergency or accident. They include NEMA, FRSC, NPF among others.
Aspects of rescue operations include: highway operations and vehicle rescue; urban search and rescue; surface water rescue operation; air-sea rescue operation; vehicle –extrication rescue operation; fire rescue operation; confined space rescue, rope rescue and ground search and rescue operation.
Aims of rescue operations as well as rescue operation procedures were also treated in this chapter.
