SUMMARY OF FIRST AID AND MATERIALS
First aid treatment is the immediate and temporary treatment given to an accident victim or sick person before professional medical care is available.
First aid box is a simple box made of wood or plastic that usually contains the necessary materials needed to carry out first aid.
This chapter treated reasons or benefits of first aid which include to reduce pain; to arrest bleeding; to prevent injuries from getting worse; serves as a source of information to the doctor; prevents loss of life of the injured person among others.
The contents of a first aid box include razor blade, safety pins, bandage, cotton wool, plaster, iodine, methylated spirit among others.
Application of simple first aid measures was also treated in this chapter. As well as ABC of first aid and its application.
