Chemical safety is the measures that must be carried out for proper usage and storage of chemicals to ensure the protection of the users. Safety in the laboratory are actions taken by individuals to prevent hazards in the laboratory.
The laboratory can be a place of discovery and learning. However, by the very nature of laboratory work, it can be a place of danger if proper precautions are not taken. While effort has been made to eliminate the use of explosive, highly toxic and hazardous substances from experiments, there is a certain unavoidable hazard associated with the use of variety of chemicals and glassware.
