Meaning of Power
Power is the rate at which work is done. It can also be said to be the rate of transfer of energy or the rate of doing work. i.e. work done divided by time.
The S.I unit of power is watt (w). The larger units are kilowatt (kW). We often see electrical appliances rated in watts. But watt is a small quantity.
