Friction
Friction is a force that opposes motion or tries to stop a body from moving. It is a force which acts in the opposite direction of the force which moves or tries to move an object. It is a force between two different bodies in contact and about to move or in motion. For example, the force between the tyres of a vehicle and the ground.
Uses of Friction
- Friction allows us to walk on the ground without sliding or falling
- It makes our machine parts work effectively
