Forms of Energy
There are different forms of energy.
- Chemical energy: This is the energy contained in food substances, petrol, diesel, kerosene, coal etc.
- Mechanical energy: This is the energy of an object due to its motion or position. motion and position. Mechanical energy is divided into kinetic or motion energy and potential or place energy.
- Kinetic Energy is the type of energy possessed by a body in motion. Examples are football in motion, running car etc.
- Potential Energy is the energy possessed due to position of an object. examples are book on a desk, water bottle on the floor etc.
