Difference between a Kilometre, a Kilogram and a Kilobyte
A kilobyte (KB) is a unit of information which is equal to 1,024 bytes, approximately 1,000 bytes. A kilogram (kg) is the base unit of mass in the SI version of the metric system which equals exactly 1,000 grams. A kilometre (km) is a common metric unit of length or distance and it equals exactly 1,000 metres. The major difference among these three units of storage, therefore, is that kilometre measures length or distance, kilogram measures weight and kilobyte measures information.
