Construction and Use of Gear
By making a wooden or modeling board gears, you can investigate the speed ratio/gear ratio of a simple gear train.
For the purpose of this topic, a simple 5mm thick plywood or modeling board card may be used. In addition, the following tools will be required:
- Marker
- Ruler
- Scissors or cutting knife
- Gear template (as shown here).
